灰烬之都
The Ashen Capital
The last city of an empire that forgot why it was built. Ten million people, one dying emperor, and a wall that has kept the dark out for three hundred years.
The night has teeth.
A dying empire. An endless red moon. A dragon with no name. A large-scale online action RPG built from the ground up on VxEngine.
A story about the end of the world
The wall will hold. That was the promise. It held through plagues, successions, wars, and a hundred years of quiet rot. It held long enough for an empire to forget it was a wall at all.
It does not hold anymore. Beyond the Black Gate, the red moon is rising, the dead are not staying dead, and the dragon the empire built its religion around has returned without a name of its own.
You are not the chosen one. You are not even the protagonist of the empire's story. You are one of the people who has to live through the end of it — and decide what gets carried into whatever comes next.

“We wanted a world where the apocalypse is not a weather event. It is a political one. It happens slowly, and everybody has a different idea about who is to blame.”
Wei Zhang · Game Director

People still live here
Eleven districts
From the palace terraces to the undercity.
The Ashen Capital
Ten million people live inside a wall that was never meant to last this long. They open shops, argue about rent, fall in love, and bury their dead while the red moon climbs. The Ashen Capital is not a backdrop. It is the largest character in the game.
Every district has its own economy, its own politics, and its own idea about who should be running the empire. The palace is still lit. The markets are still open. The knives are still out.
The emperor is dying. The great houses circle. In the Ashen Capital, the red moon is read as an omen by some and a license by others. You arrive with nothing but a name nobody recognizes — and a city that rewards people who know how to listen.
The Black Gate was never a wall. It was a promise. When it fails, the frontier becomes the only place where the old rules do not apply. Settle it. Defend it. Or take it from someone who already has.
The Night Dragon has returned without a name, and names have power. What the continent calls it will decide what it becomes. So will what you do when you finally stand in front of it.
The continent
A single seamless continent, 64 square kilometres of authored world, from the last great city to the edge of the map. No loading screens. No safe places.

灰烬之都
The last city of an empire that forgot why it was built. Ten million people, one dying emperor, and a wall that has kept the dark out for three hundred years.

沉水梯田
Flooded farmland where the old roads surface only at low tide. The people here remember the dragon as a neighbor, not a god.

玉脊
A mountain range that splits the continent and the only land route to the Black Gate. Every faction wants it. Nobody can hold it.

黑门
The edge of the map. Beyond it, the red moon rises higher, the sky goes quiet, and something very old begins to wake.

How it plays
Night Dragon is not a theme park. It is a world with rules, pressure, and consequences — designed so that the most interesting story is the one you did not plan.
Every territory claimed, every alliance broken, every settlement burned leaves a mark that persists. The continent has a memory, and it is not forgiving.
Posture, stamina, spacing, and commitment. There are no rotation buttons and no animation cancels that erase the cost of a decision. The best player is the one who understands the fight.
Territory generates wealth and attention. The more you hold, the more people want it. Every empire in Night Dragon is a target — including yours.
A simulation-driven world with NPC schedules, trade routes, faction politics, and seasonal arcs. Log in at 3 a.m. and the city is still doing something without you.
The five paths
There are no classes, only paths. Each one is a philosophy as much as a skill set — and each can be walked alone or alongside others.
Precise, patient, lethal. The Blade reads an opponent's intent through posture and turns defense into an opening. Highest skill ceiling in the game.
Carries light into places that eat it. Heals, reveals, and anchors a party's position. The Lantern is the reason a night march comes home.
Mobility and disruption. The Gale fights in three dimensions, controls the terms of an encounter, and is at their best when the plan has already fallen apart.
Holds the line. The Iron absorbs pressure, breaks formations, and gets stronger the longer a fight drags on. Slow to start, impossible to move.
Deception made playable. The Veil trades information, forges intent, and wins fights before the first blow is thrown. Trust is a resource.

War for the continent
Territory is not a menu. It is ground you can stand on, tax, fortify, and lose. When two factions want the same ridge, the game does not put them in a separate arena. It puts them in the world, with the weather against them and everyone else watching.
Sieges are open. Reinforcements can arrive. Supply lines can be cut. And when the banners come down, the ground remembers who held it.

黑焰噬天
“When the last banner falls, the continent will not remember which house it belonged to. It will remember who was still standing.”

Between battles
Not every night is a siege. Some are a boat across a flooded valley, a lantern on the water, and a rumor you heard in a market three days ago.
Night Dragon is built to reward attention. Weather changes the road. NPCs have somewhere to be. The most important place on the map might be a bridge with no marker on it.
Weather
Storms change sightlines, footing, and who is willing to travel.
Routines
NPCs work, drink, pray, and go home. Follow one and see.
Secrets
No icon tells you where the interesting thing is.
Sound
A score that knows where you are and what is following you.

Only possible on VxEngine
Night Dragon's scale is not a marketing number. It is the result of a server-authoritative simulation, seamless streaming, and a renderer built to hold frame time under load. The same engine powers the city in Horizon RP — and now it is being pushed to its limit.

NPC armies march, trade routes shift, and settlements change hands while you are offline. The simulation does not wait.

The edge of the map
For three hundred years, the empire told itself the Black Gate was the end of the world. It was not. It was the edge of the empire's imagination — and whatever waited beyond it has had a very long time to think.
This is where the story turns. The wall is failing, the red moon is climbing, and the first alpha waves will begin at the only place on the continent where nobody is pretending everything is fine.

Three years of quiet work, one reveal, and a launch year that starts with alpha.
A 46-page pitch, a greybox continent, and one very long argument about whether the dragon should be a god or a weapon.

The first playable siege. Combat, territory, and the world simulation running together for the first time.
VxEngine 1.0 enters production. Project 夜龙 is revealed to the world. Alpha preparation begins in earnest.
Closed alpha playtests, invitation waves, and launch on PC. The long night ends. Or begins.

Project 夜龙 is scheduled to launch on PC in 2027. Closed alpha playtests also begin in 2027, ahead of launch. We will announce a specific date only when we are confident in it. We would rather be late than wrong.
It is a persistent online action RPG built around a shared continent. Thousands of players inhabit the same world across shards, with territory, trade, and conflict simulated server-side. You can play alone, in a small group, or as part of a major faction. The world does not pause when you log off.
No. Horizon RP and Project 夜龙 share a studio and an engine, not a story or a skill set. Night Dragon is a completely new world with its own narrative, systems, and onboarding.
Register your interest on the alpha page. Invitations are limited and prioritized for long-time Horizon RP players, experienced large-scale online players, and people who are good at explaining what broke. There is no purchase requirement, no pre-order gate, and no paid alpha access.
Night Dragon is a premium game with an optional cosmetic-only store. There will be no pay-to-win, no power sold for money, and no subscription. Cosmetics are earnable in-game as well.
We are targeting a locked 60 fps at 1440p on a four-year-old mid-range GPU, and a stable 30 fps at 1080p on integrated graphics. Full minimum and recommended specs will be published before alpha invitations go out.
